Rent Is...

RENT THE MOVIE IS IN PROGRESS!!!

Sources say it will come out this year or if not, I assume early next year. OMG! I know I am so late on the news, being a pretty big Rent fan but still! I'm so happy! It's gonna be so big, just like POTO was...and I have a feeling it's gonna be even bigger and better, especially since some originals (Idina!!!) are gonna be in it playing their respective roles! So that's why Idina left Wicked! Anyway...yay, spread the word and check out the movie when it comes out!!! ;D

I just stumbled across your journal... Won't become a friend, but i'll share some info on the RENT movie. You might already know some of this...Just what i heard (from several places), can't say for positive. All the roles are played by the OBC, except two peolpe, one is mimi, and im not sure about the other. Its supposed to come out November 11th. I also have a copy of the script (on my computer) if you want it. It sounds good, but i've never seen it on stage since i live near chicago. I was slightly disappointed because they speak alot of the tune ups and some parts of more talkish songs, but i don't want to judge it before i see it. Some parts sound REALLY awesome though, especially how they film one song glory.

ok hey im cathy i love RENT i saw the US tour when it came to canada in march . it was great. and ive heard from many people that have gone to the shooting in San Fansisco that the movie is just as good as it was on broadway. http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/rent/blog/archives/2005/05/how_we_got_here.php#comments is the movie site and each cast member has a blog but many of them dont use it ...they update you on the movie though and it sounds good and my friend has a copy of the script and its relli relli good i love it ...and the movie trailer is still not out yet ill tell you wen it is
